S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7817 2011-2012 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y May 18, 2011 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. BARCLAY -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Libraries and Education Technology AN ACT in relation to the dissolution of the Oswego City Library and the redistribution of any funds and/or assets held by such library THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The Oswego City Library and its incorporated trustees, created on April 15, 1854 is hereby dissolved and all assets, holdings, and belongings owned in whole or in part by the Oswego City Library shall be transferred to the Oswego School District Public Library, a public school district library granted an absolute charter in the first instance by the New York State Board of Regents on April 4, 2000. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. LBD11331-01-1
