WEISENBERG -- read once and referred to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to illegally tinted windows on motor vehicles THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subdivision (c) of section 301 of the vehicle and traffic law is amended by adding a new paragraph 4 to read as follows: (4) SUCH INSPECTION SHALL ALSO DETERMINE IF THE VEHICLE'S WINDOWS ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH PARAGRAPH (B) OF SUBDIVISION TWELVE-A OF SECTION THREE HUNDRED SEVENTY-FIVE OF THIS TITLE. NON-COMPLIANCE WITH SUCH SUBDIVISION SHALL BE CAUSE FOR FAILURE OF THE INSPECTION. S 2. This act shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall have become a law.
