AN  ACT  to  require the department of transportation to determine which
  entrances to parkways in the county of Westchester are most frequently
  accessed by oversized  commercial  vehicles  and  to  install  certain
  barriers to prevent such vehicles from accessing such entrances

  THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:

  Section 1. The department of transportation is hereby  authorized  and
directed to determine which entrances to parkways in the county of West-
chester  are  most  frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles
and to install physical barriers to prevent oversized  commercial  vehi-
cles from accessing such entrances.
  S 2. The commissioner of the department of transportation may request,
and  is  authorized  to receive, any information from any state or local
agencies that is relevant and material to its determination. Such infor-
mation received by the department of transportation shall be subject  to
the  same  requirements  for  confidentiality and limitations on use, if
any, as are applicable to such state agency's use of such information.
  S 3. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day  after  it  shall
have become a law.
