S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 8657 I N A S S E M B L Y January 31, 2014 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. KATZ -- read once and referred to the Committee on Ways and Means AN ACT to repeal subsection (vv) of section 606 of the tax law relating to the family tax relief credit; and making an appropriation therefor THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Subsection (vv) of section 606 of the tax law is REPEALED. S 2. The sum of one billion three hundred million dollars ($1,300,000,000) is hereby appropriated for the general support of education in the state out of any moneys in the state treasury in the general fund to the credit of the state purposes account, not otherwise appropriated, and made immediately available, for the purpose of educa- tion. Such moneys shall be payable on the audit and warrant of the comp- troller on vouchers certified or approved by the commissioner of educa- tion in the manner prescribed by law. S 3.
