S T A T E O F N E W Y O R K ________________________________________________________________________ 7014 2015-2016 Regular Sessions I N A S S E M B L Y April 17, 2015 ___________ Introduced by M. of A. SIMANOWITZ -- read once and referred to the Committee on Election Law AN ACT to require the 2015 fall primary be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015 and the political calendar be adjusted accordingly; and providing for the repeal of such provisions upon expiration thereof THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Notwithstanding the provisions of paragraph (a) of subdivi- sion 1 of section 8-100 of the election law, the 2015 fall primary shall be held on Thursday, September 10, 2015, and the political calendar shall be adjusted accordingly. S 2. This act shall take effect immediately and shall expire on Decem- ber 31, 2015 when upon such date the provisions of this act shall be deemed repealed.
