 AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to the use  of  biodiesel
   fuel in state vehicles
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new section  201-b
 to read as follows:
   §  201-B.  USE  OF BIODIESEL IN STATE VEHICLES. 1. ANY DIESEL OPERATED
 VEHICLES WITHIN THE STATE FLEET SHALL  BE  REPLACED  OR  RETROFITTED  TO
 OPERATE ON A BIODIESEL BLEND AT THE FOLLOWING LEVELS:
   A.  FOR  JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO THROUGH DECEMBER THIR-
 TY-FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-TWO, FIVE PERCENT BIODIESEL BLEND;
   B. FOR JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE THROUGH DECEMBER THIR-
 TY-FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE, TEN PERCENT BIODIESEL BLEND;
   C. FOR JANUARY FIRST, TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-FOUR AND THEREAFTER,  TWENTY
 PERCENT BIODIESEL BLEND.
   2.  FOR PURPOSES OF THIS SECTION, "BIODIESEL BLEND" SHALL MEAN RENEWA-
 BLE, BIODEGRADABLE, MONO ALKYL ESTER  COMBUSTIBLE  LIQUID  FUEL  DERIVED
 FROM AGRICULTURAL PLANT OILS, ANIMAL FATS OR WASTE OILS AND GREASES.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
