 AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to requiring  the  secre-
   tary of state to notify local governments of new laws
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The executive law is amended by adding a new  section  93-b
 to read as follows:
   §  93-B.  PUBLISHING LAWS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS. THE SECRETARY OF STATE
 SHALL SEND VIA ELECTRONIC MAIL A COPY OF ALL LAWS ENACTED ON  AND  AFTER
 JANUARY  FIRST,  TWO THOUSAND TWENTY-THREE, INCLUDING A BRIEF SUMMARY OF
 THE LAW AND ITS IMPLEMENTATION REQUIREMENTS, TO A REPRESENTATIVE OF EACH
 LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN THE STATE.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
