 AN ACT making an appropriation to pay Jennifer Simanowitz, widow of  the
   late  Michael  A.  Simanowitz,  member  of  the Assembly from the 27th
   assembly district, the balance due of his unpaid  annual  compensation
   for a portion of the year 2017
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. The sum of twenty-nine thousand five  hundred  thirty-eight
 dollars  and  forty-two cents ($29,538.42) is hereby appropriated out of
 any moneys in the general fund of the state treasury to  the  credit  of
 the  state  purposes  account not otherwise appropriated, for payment to
 Jennifer Simanowitz, the widow of the late Michael A. Simanowitz, member
 of the Assembly from the 27th assembly district, who died on the  second
 day of September, 2017, for the balance due of the unpaid annual compen-
 sation  which would have been earned by him had he continued to live and
 serve as such member until the 31st day of December,  2017.  The  amount
 hereby appropriated shall be payable to Jennifer Simanowitz on the audit
 and warrant of the comptroller on a voucher certified or approved in the
 manner prescribed by law.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
