 AN  ACT to amend the social services law, in relation to providing Medi-
   caid coverage for remote ultrasound scans and remote fetal  non-stress
   tests
 
   THE  PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
 BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
 
   Section 1. Paragraph (jj) of subdivision 2 of  section  365-a  of  the
 social  services law, as added by section 1 of part CCC of chapter 56 of
 the laws of 2022, is amended to read as follows:
   (jj) pre-natal and [post-partum] POSTPARTUM care and services for  the
 purpose  of improving maternal health outcomes and reduction of maternal
 mortality when such services are recommended by  a  physician  or  other
 health  care  practitioner authorized under title eight of the education
 law, and  provided  by  qualified  practitioners.  Such  services  shall
 include  but  not be limited to nutrition services provided by certified
 dietitians and certified nutritionists; care coordination, case  manage-
 ment,  and  peer  support;  patient  navigation  services;  services  by
 licensed clinical social  workers;  dyadic  services;  Bluetooth-enabled
 devices  for  remote patient monitoring; REMOTE ULTRASOUND SCANS; REMOTE
 FETAL NON-STRESS TESTS and other services determined by the commissioner
 of health; provided, however, that  the  provisions  of  this  paragraph
 shall  not  take effect unless there is federal financial participation.
 Nothing in this paragraph shall be construed to  modify  any  licensure,
 certification  or  scope  of practice provision under title eight of the
 education law.
   § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
