ABINANTI -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation AN ACT to require the department of transportation to determine which entrances to parkways in the county of Westchester are most frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles and to install certain barriers to prevent such vehicles from accessing such entrances THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The department of transportation is hereby authorized and directed to determine which entrances to parkways in the county of West- chester are most frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles and to install physical barriers to prevent oversized commercial vehi- cles from accessing such entrances. S 2. The commissioner of the department of transportation may request, and is authorized to receive, any information from any state or local agencies that is relevant and material to its determination. Such infor- mation received by the department of transportation shall be subject to the same requirements for confidentiality and limitations on use, if any, as are applicable to such state agency's use of such information. S 3. This act shall take effect on the ninetieth day after it shall have become a law. EXPLANATION--Matter in ITALICS (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [ ] is old law to be omitted. ABINANTI -- read once and referred to the Commit- tee on Transportation -- recommitted to the Committee on Transporta- tion in accordance with Assembly Rule 3, sec. 2 -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to require the department of transportation to determine which entrances to parkways in the county of Westchester are most frequently accessed by oversized commercial vehicles and to install certain barriers to prevent such vehicles from accessing such entrances THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM- BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The New York state department of transportation is hereby authorized and directed, within one hundred twenty days of the enactment of this act, to study and determine which entrances to special parkways in the county of Westchester are most frequently accessed by commercial motor vehicles and, within one year of making such determination, to install physical barriers to prevent or otherwise hinder such commercial motor vehicles from accessing such special parkway entrances. 2. The commissioner of transportation may request, and is authorized to receive, from any department, division, board, bureau, commission or other agency of the state or any state public authority such information and data as will enable the department of transportation to properly conduct its study and make its determination. Such information and data received by the department of transportation shall be subject to the same requirements for confidentiality and limitations on use, if any, as are applicable to the use of such information and data by the depart- ment, division, board, bureau, commission or other agency of the state or state public authority which provided such information and data. 3.
